SNV, Netherlands Development Organization, is operating in Ethiopia since the 1970s. Currently, SNV Ethiopia is working in eight regional states and the two city administrations of Ethiopia, providing technical assistance and program implementation in Agriculture, WASH, and Energy Sectors. COVID-19 Impact relief to Energy Access Market in Ethiopia is a Seven-month Project aligned with SEECCS-II EnDev to be implemented under EnDev III Ethiopian program. Aimed at material, institutional, and promotional support the project covers ICS and solar associations, ESEDA and ECCA. Four regions including Amhara, Oromia, SNNPR and Tigray, as well as the Addis Ababa city administration are targeted.  

Consultancy Objective

The major objective of the training and mentorship is to support energy sector association leaders in the improvement of their leadership and management skills and strengthen the institutional capacity of the associations and alliances. The training will make use of proven association management and leadership knowledge and skills. Each association’s training needs will be addressed through time-bound coaching mentoring and pear to pear support platform.

Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Management or Leadership or relevant fields
  • Proven experience in conducting management and leadership training, facilitation, and coordination role
  • Hands on experience with experiential training tools and methods that consider adult education
  • Competence in andrological methodology including excellent communication, content organization, and presentation skills
  • Proven track record in mentoring managers and leaders towards achieving agreed goals
  • Who can, for this assignment, forge measured partnership with legally registered ICS and or solar associations and or alliances in designing and implementation of the assignment
  •  Excellent command of English and Amharic languages

2% withholding tax will be deducted from the consultant fees at the source and will be paid by SNV – Ethiopia, assuming a TIN number and license can be provided.
