COOPI Ethiopia office is searching for one Hygiene and Sanitation expert/ Field Work Supervisor in Addis Ababa Coordination office.
Key Activities/Responsibilities
- Supports the goal of intensifying the project impacts in terms of quality and responsibility
- Coordinates with sector technicians for the timely and correct execution of project activities
- Responsible for WaSH sensitization in general, on personal and community hygiene, in particular awareness campaign, menstrual hygiene and IPC (Infection and Prevention control);
- Head of the Cmplain / Feedback mechanism;
- Coordinates with the other humanitarian actors present in the centers on a daily basis.
Planning
- Draft weekly plan for his tasks;
- Draft plan and all the material for the awareness campaign.
Implementation
- Follow the monitoring and supervision of activities related to his/her tasks,
- Provide information to Supervisor to verify that activities in the centers are consistent with the project objective and inform promptly of eventual deviations;
Reporting
- Inform the Supervisors of any tasks progress;
- Collect daily information;
- Compile weekly activity reports and forward them to the Supervisors.
Technical Leadership:
- Supports preliminary data collection;
- Supports WASH sensitization according to COOPI methodology and standards, national and international;
- Mobilizes the beneficiaries for the awareness of the project and for the organizational processes for the training, training and capacity building foreseen in the project;
- Ensures the efficient monitoring of activities as well as the timely preparation of activity reports;
- Ensures that the activities are carried out in compliance with the Logical Framework and the Indicators;
- Ensures the necessary visibility of interventions.

Other Responsibilities:
- Any other task necessary for the good and timely implementation of the projects, identified in agreement with the management lines of COOPI.
Duration of the contract: 3 months
Duty starting date: as soon as Possible
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in promotion, mobilization, sensitization;
- Strong knowledge of crosscutting subjects (GBV, Environment, Vulnerable Groups);
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English, Fluent in Amaric (knowledge of Oromiffa and Tigrinya is an asset)
- Analytical skill to identify needs, gaps and opportunities regarding the activities;
- Professional and serious attitude, able to organize, maintain and composure;
- Understanding of humanitarian principles and values
- Respect culture, belief of different ethnic communities.
