ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. To keep a continuously updated catalogue of all research studies from the CURE network of hospitals
2. To find and catalogue all research outputs from prior research done on the CURE network
3. To ensure the correct IRB process is completed for all current research / service evaluation projects and all future projects
4. To develop and run a study monitoring and completion form so the network is up- to-date on where the projects are in terms of completion
5. To disseminate CURE best practice policy on research and service evaluation projects
6. To disseminate study findings, where appropriate to the rest of the network
7. To Liaise with M&E and researchers and doctors on the network performing research
8. To liaise with grant / donor relations at MSC to inform them of new projects and outputs of all old projects
9. To assist / coordinate network wide research projects such as the proposed Chronic Osteomyelitis project and pseudarthrosis project
10. To liaise with visitors wanting to perform research and signpost them to an appropriate project
11. To help run and research courses involving the network
12. To assist in writing research grants and liaisons with Research institutions in other countries where collaborative arrangements for research exist or are developing

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Job Requirement

• General Practitioner (GP) from recognized institution or equivalent
• MPH (Master of Public Health) from recognized institution or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
•  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, in English and Amharic, additional language proficiency is added advantage
