The Carter Center country office in Ethiopia, which assists the Government of Ethiopia in Disease Elimination and Eradication Programs is looking for a qualified professional to fill the following vacancy for its Health Program:

Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Terms of Employment: Three Months short term contract 

Reports to: IT Officer

Summary of Job Description:  

• Assist in Design/Manage/migrate/upgrade/Deploy LAN and WAN systems at different field & Country office as required.
• Maintain/deploy systems for maximum uptime.
• Monitor system performance of office networks and resource requirements, specify and install system upgrades.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues to resolution.
• Manages/deploy updated operating systems, and application software’s, ensuring proper integration with the existing systems.
• Providing IT Technical supports on maintain network Systems users computers for field offices in person or remotely.
• Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
• Capacitate and support users on information technology.
• Assist on conducting training on Office 365 packages for End Users.
• Carry out other tasks as required

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or electrical engineering or related IT discipline. 

Experience:            

• Relevant experience of minimum of three years with at least two years of experience in system and network administration.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong technical skills and understanding of system administration and networking, system security, and maintenance
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
• Basic knowledge on cisco Meraki devices
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues of computers, printers and some office machines
• Basic knowledge on O365 packages
