GAMBELLA Water and Irrigation Resource Development bureau intended to recruit qualified professional through One WaSH National program for Second urban Water supply and Sanitation project and OWNP CWA-1

Major Duty: -

• The major objective of the assignment is to provide technical assistance to the regional PMU at RWB to:(i) effectively plan, coordinate, manage and implement urban sanitation projects, (ii) to develop working methodologies and establish operational procedures, (iii) to establish monitoring and reporting systems.
• The Specialist to be hired shall have experience in Design, construction supervision, assessment, analysis and development of Manuals and strategies of public services with a high credit to experiences in particular in wastewater management.
• The wastewater specialist will be working with the other PMU staff and will have responsibilities in all wastewater intervention and a lead responsibility for the outputs in that area and will be reporting to the PMU coordinator who will be charged to ensuring adherence to the implementation arrangement.
• The Consultancy is full time assignment and will be contracted for a period of one year with the understanding that the contract will be renewed every year based on evaluation of performance.

Job Requirement

• The Specialist shall have BSc, MSc or PhD in Water supply, Sanitary, Hydraulics, Civil Engineering or related fields with 8/6/4 years or above experience and strong capability of communication on the subject matter, and capacity to offer trainings.
• Strong experience in the study, design construction, assessment, analysis, and development of Waste Water Manuals and strategies for the sub-sector.
• Experience with quality as arance and site monitoring for Waste Water works, including review of change orders, an inspection of works, and reporting discrepancies,
• Professional fluency (writing and oral) in English, Strong communication skills and flexibility working with various stakeholders.

Salary: - ETB 20,000 with hardship allowance 30% and Communication and transport allowance
