Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager reporting to National Project and Maintenance Manager and interface with Gubre Farm Site Manager. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance departments of farm found in SNNPR such as: Gubre, Sodo, Atate, Emdibir and Worabe farms including future sites in the area. The successful candidate will lead a group of maintenance workers stationed at each site. Work performed will include electrical and plumbing installation, maintenance, and repairs. Special focus must be given to preventative maintenance processes, skills transfer and health, safety and risk management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs and monitoring systems.
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
• Check electrical and plumbing systems of buildings to ensure functionality and standardisation.
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities, inclusive of new incubator installations.
• Allocate workload and supervise site maintenance managers.
• Develop and implement training programs for all maintenance team members.
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
• Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.

Qualification

Experience
