Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the CEO.

Key Functions

  • Provide sophisticated calendar management for the CEO.
  • Plans, coordinates and ensures the CEO's schedule is followed and respected.
  • Communicates directly, and on behalf of the CEO with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works closely and effectively with the CEO to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately in order to keep the CEO updated.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on assigned assignments to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Coordinates events and executive meetings
  • Leads and coordinates travel itineraries and related meetings, which are sometimes international. Includes the coordination of calendars, travel plans, expense reimbursements, filing, etc.
  • Screens incoming calls, making notes of essential information and prioritizing the calls to be returned by the CEO.
  • Perform other relevant duties as requested. 

Job Requirements

Competences

  • Computer skill in MS-Word, Ms-Excel and outlook
  • Typing skills, both in Amharic and English is essential
  • Fluency in English and Amharic language
  • Professional appearance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive, energetic and team player personality

Education Qualifications and Requirement

  • BA Degree in Management or related field of study.

Experience

  • 3 year of work experience is required.
