Purpose of the job
Demand Planning Manager position is responsible to manage forecasting activities associated with customers and products to create and maintain forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailers and other sources.
In general, the role of Demand Planning Manager can be described as follows:
- Management of Sales forecasting
- Market survey
- Sales reporting
- Market development opportunity
- Manage and Coordinate Stock report of agents and Deployment plan
- Annual sales plan preparation
- Manage sales team incentive (commission)
- Project Management
- Coordinate sales order and stock availability
- Coordinate any Support as per the business need.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of the 13 week and 18 month forecast by brand ,skus and supply points as per the demand and historical data
- weekly and monthly forecast by brand and Sku’s
- Coordinate and Follow up on product availability with supply chain and Supply point
- Coordinate and update the available products for sales team and customers
- Coordinate annual sales plan by studying the previous sales history of customers, region by brand and SKu’s incorporation with finance team
- Analyze and evaluate the performance of Brands, Sku’s
- Project management of new products
- Regional and District wise sales presentation report by end of 2nd and 4th week of the month
- Supply and demand collaboration
- Importing historical sales data
- Creating statistical forecasts
- Reexamining data and adjusting planning accordingly
- Maintain Demand planing process and system to imporve forecast and upgraide sales reporting systems.
- Sales reporting by region , RBM,RSM and DSM
- Manage & update Sales Data base daily
- Daily Sales Report before 3:00am
- Daily Stock Report of Agents before 9:00PM
- Sales reports to RSMs & DSMs on every Wednesday & Saturday
- Prepare DP for kilinto supply point Agents and send to WH daily before 5:30pm
- Agent & SR wise target preparation for the following month and communicate to sales team before the 4th week Wednesday of the month.
- Upload the targets on Data base before the 1st day of the month
- Prepare sales team Commission & Incentives and submit to Finance before 7th of each month
- Create central databank for outstanding value creation.
- Copy data base to external data store for back up on the first Monday after the month end
- Daily, weekly & Monthly reports within agreed time frame
- Communicate with underperforming ASMs & DSMs daily basis.
- Support Business Planning process with relevant analysis from Data base
- Perform other activities as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics ,Economics or any business related field
- Fluency in Microsoft package
Experience
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience as sales analyst or demand planer position
- Ground knowledge of sales operations
- Planning, organizing & Controlling skills
- Commercial/Business Acumen
- Project management
- Initiative , Time perspective, Action Orientation, Creativity & innovation
- Advanced Excel and presentation Skill
- Negotiation Skills
- Working under pressure
Language
- Good command of communication in English and Amharic (writing, reading, speaking) and other local language (Preferred)
