The main purpose of job

To plan, organize, and control all machinery and trucks maintenance activities to ensure that all trucks and equipment is maintained to the highest standards

Main responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control all maintenance work within the company to ensure that transport trucks and other types of equipment are repaired and maintained to the required standards of quality and availability.
• Monitor the maintenance budget to ensure that all costs are kept within the agreed limits
• Maintain a regular liaison with the technique and workshop department head and other functions to ensure that spare parts and other important equipment are available to meet operational requirements
• Follow and plan a preventive maintenance schedule approach and ensure that all necessary maintenance is carried out at the appropriate time and cost
• Supervise and train all maintenance staff to ensure that they carry out their duties effectively and maintain effective working relationships
• Monitor all maintenance work to ensure that it complies with all health and safety requirements
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transport trucks and other types of equipment and identify and resolve any issues relating to maintenance procedures and standards, repair, and maintenance efficiency, or equipment quality…
• Control stock and maintain contact with the appropriate stores' personnel to ensure that an adequate supply of spares and equipment is maintained
• Regularly review all working practices, procedures, and types of equipment to ensure that they are at the most efficient and effective use and available
• Organize and assign team or teams to take responsibilities for both scheduled and irregular repair and maintenance activities
• Always take and document technical staffs’ performance evaluation as per the company procedure and rank as per the standards
• Always record and maintain the repair and maintenance history of each truck and machine by introducing appropriate maintenance handling and management systems

Job Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and experience required

• At least a certificate level in mechanical or automation engineering
• A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and worked as a senior mechanic for 7 and above years
• Experience within the transport industry
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent supervisory and coordination skills
• Good communication skills
• Excellent planning and organizing ability
• Computer literacy and ability to understand catalog and technical manuals
• Good interpersonal skills
