Scope of Services

• The detailed scope should be but not limited to:
• Lead and supervise during over haul plant
• Lead Operation and maintenance (brake down and routine) activities
• Assist power plant start and stop operation during emergency case
• System design (preparation of inspection checklist of each subsystem, preparation of planned maintenance checklist, identifies spare part 3. The job title description, Education and minimum qualification carrying needs of the power plant etc)
• Major plant repair work
• On-job training.
• Assist in any aspect of operation and maintenance work activities of the power plant
• The specialist shall perform detailed technical assessment plant systems, historical data analysis,
• Prepare proposals to address the gaps and lead the optimization task to improve efficiency.
• Risk assessment and devaluation and develop risk mitigation methodologies
• Problems root cause analysis on breakdowns and analysis
• Perform “Engineering Cost estimation” and “ Price Reasonableness Assessment” on plant procurement needs.
• Re-evaluate maintenance practice and procedures to generate templates to improve the plant routine inspection and maintenance process
• Prepare detailed report on monthly bases
• Prepare detail activity list planning on plant overhaul.

Eduacation

• 1st Degree or 2nd Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Requirement

• 8 or above years’ Practical experience in Waste to Energy power plant or Coal Power Plant, familiar in steam turbine

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written skills in English with ability to particulate information at various levels

The Ethiopian Electric Power now invites eligible consulting firm to indicate their interest in providing the individual experts.

• The individual experts shall have minimum of 8 (Eight) years strong proven experience in operation and maintenance and professional capacity building in a waste to energy power plant or coal power plant with in capacity of 50MW or above.
• The individual shall provide information demonstrating the required qualifications and relevant certificate of experience from employer.
• Proven experience in provision of training on waste to energy power plant or coal power plant's. b. b. Educational background which shall be in relevant Engineering discipline
• Number of assignments participated in performing operation and maintenance services in waste to energy power plant or coal power plant;

The EEP will create a register in which all Expressions of Interest received are recorded. 

The EEP will shortlist (pre-qualify) consultant based on assessment of the received expressions of interest using the information as requested. Consultant shortlisted may be in invited for presentation.

Citizen owned and companies partnering with citizens will be given preference in line with the Citizen Economic Empowerment Policy.
