Introduction

ASDEPO is a humanitarian, Civil Society Organization founded in 2014 that works in all regions of Ethiopia. ASDEPO fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations, including refugees, internally displaced people and host communities. Under its mandate, the organization focuses on emergency humanitarian response, rehabilitation and post-conflict recovery.

ASDEPO’ s operation in Tigrai and Gambella Region currently is focused on Emergency Nutrition response to Conflict-Affected communities through CMAM approach in Tigray Regional State, Embalaje, Bora and Selawa Woredas and Gambella region Abobo and Jor waredas.

Job Description:

• Coordinate and facilitate implementation of activities and prepare weekly movement plan to OTP, TSFP and SC
• Facilitate training, on job training and work closely with other staffs at Health center and Health post level.
• Adherence to medical and nutritional treatment protocols and procedures for children and infants in OTP
• Ensure availability of required material like MUAC, registration books, Pen, weight scale, thermometer and plump nut.
• Follow up absentees/defaulters, cure rate, coverage rate, and death rate and keep current record of beneficiaries.
• Participate coordination meeting taken place in the health facilities and camp level and report the feedback to the office

Quantity required: 3 (1 person per Woreda)

Location: -Emba Alaje, Bora and Selawa Woredas, Tigrai Region and Abobo and Jor Waredas of Gambella region

Duration: 6 months 

Job Requirements

• BSc or Diploma in Nursing, Nutritionist or Public Health
• Minimum two years working experience for Degree and four years' experience for Diploma holders out of which two year experience directly related to emergency health & nutrition related fields Knowledge, training and experience in CMAM and community mobilization/BCC
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Local language
• Strong computer (Microsoft skills), all and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desirable

• Knowledge on Emergency Nutrition/IDP context is preferred.
