Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve as Project coordinator for CDC IHR project working with the Regional Technical Director
• Serve as Project management assistant for the regional directors to all projects at the regional office
• Facilitate communications and partnership between Regional Office and stakeholders and between Regional Office and Head Quarters
• Serve as central contact person for strategic partnership with key stakeholders as well as serving as contact person for operational activities between Regional office and Head Quarters
• Identify potential strategic partnership (business) opportunities with international organizations, foundations, corporate entities and others.
• Represent GOHi in stakeholder meetings when and if delegated by the Regional Director, or other Directors
• Perform quality assessment on external letters and ready document such as invoices prior approval.
• Provide regional office coordination particularly Administrative and Technical Directors’ meeting planning, coordination and keeping contents of meetings improve quality and ensure focused engagement. Prepare agenda of meetings and take minutes
• Assist the Digital Global One Health Summer Institute from planning to execution
• Provide high level administrative support to Directors.
• Organize retreats, Directors’ meetings and high level visits
• Provide trainings to the regional office staff on communications, use of different meeting platforms such as zoom, MS Teams, ..etc
• Perform other duties as requested by the Regional Director

Employment type: Full-time one-year contract with a possibility of renewal for one more year upon the availability of funds and successful performance of year contract.

Line of responsibility - The Strategic Project Coordinator will report directly to the Regional Director

Job Requirements

Required Qualification

• The ideal candidate Must hold a Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree in Project Management, Business management, International Relations, Communications or other relevant field of study
• Additional trainings related to managing projects related to global health

Required work Experience

•  A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management in Non-profit organizations
• A minimum of 6 years of project coordination / project management experience in Internationally funded projects or NGOs
• Excellent project management skills.
• Excellent working relationship with senior level public and private sector leaders.
• Experience on public health, emergency management, medicine, and/or veterinary medicine focused in leading capacity building initiatives in developing countries.

• Excellent language, communications, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Excellent team work skills with in diverse teams
• Commitment to high level confidentiality in all business matters.
• Proficiency in English and other international working languages
