Job Description

Purpose of the job

The main purpose is to manage all aspects (structure and transactions) of the cost base for production. The final goal is to ensure the correctness and completeness of product costing on a monthly basis (P&L and Balance Sheet) while optimizing costs. The SCSBA is a key Business Partner for Supply Chain Director and direct reports, Brewery Management and Accounting & Reporting (all streams). Its duty is to also ensure adequate controlling and accounting of all aspects of Warehouse & Logistics and RPM in the business. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and control of the Variable and Fixed Costs for Supply Chain (production & logistics):
  • Cost building as part of the Annual Plan process; reforecast of the costs on a quarterly basis (LE1, LE2, LE3) and long term (Strategic Plan).
  • Weekly/monthly variance analysis of items consumptions per brewery (raw materials, packaging materials, process & auxiliary materials, energy & water, repair & maintenance, other fixed costs, personnel expenses/FTEs, beer losses), vs. standard consumptions/costs, per hl of beer produced/packed.
  • Monthly variance analysis of main P&L line items (by Nature & by Function) for production and logistics (actual MTD, YTD vs. AP & LY, YTG vs. FY AP/LE), per brewery, per hl of beer sold/produced.
  • Weekly review of average prices of main items per breweries: vs. previous weeks, vs. landed cost from purchasing, vs. standard costs.
  • Control the daily cost batch proper run.
  • Monthly review of CIL ‘Beverage OpCo Cost Analysis’.
  • Review the levels of prepayments/GITs on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that all these reports are properly shared and reviewed by the relevant Supply Chain stakeholders.
  • Control over Transportation and Logistics
  • Ensure control over outsourced transportation and make sure for on time and in full invoicing and payments.
  • Ensure control over own vehicles operations and running costs.
  • Warehouse and Logistics cost building as part of the Annual Plan process; reforecast of the costs on a quarterly basis (LE1, LE2, LE3) and long term (Strategic Plan)
  •  Ensure the relevance of the cost structure:
  • Yearly review and adjustments of Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Yearly review and adjustments of Standard Costs.
  • Yearly review of systematic account & cost center allocation in Heilite.
  • Continuous improvement of the Cost Center Structure for Supply Chain.
  •  Planning and Control of OpCo Capex:
  • Definition of the investment plan (yearly CAPEX Annual Plan, reforecast of the investments for LE1, LE2 and LE3, 12-months rolling forecast of investments).
  • Coordination of all Fund Applications for Supply Chain related investments.
  • Control of the Purchase Quotes, Purchase Orders, invoicing, payment, delivery status for Supply Chain investments and related accounting treatment (prepayment/GIT/WIP/Fixed Assets) and assignment to relevant account & cost center.
  • Control Supply Chain Fixed Assets and related accounting topics (creation of Fixed Asset card in Heilite, definition of a lifetime, recommendation of a starting date).
  • Planning & control over the company depreciations, mostly related to Supply Chain; coordination for the other functions.
  • Reporting of the ‘Continuous CAPEX Plan’ (quarterly & annually) and ‘Supply Chain Assets’ (annually) in CIL.
  •  RPM Management
  • Control the proper flow of RPM (breweries <> depots <> customers <> outlet) in relation with the sales & production targets. Support Supply Chain & Sales in analyzing stock at hand and in the market + internal & external losses.
  • Definition of the investment plan for RPM in alignment with Sales and Supply Chain (yearly CAPEX Annual Plan, reforecast of the investments for LE1, LE2 and LE3, 12-months rolling forecast of investments).
  • Production / process / control of all Fund Applications for RPM.
  • Control of the Purchase Quotes, Purchase Orders, invoicing, payment, delivery status for RPM investments and related accounting treatment (prepayment/GIT/WIP/Fixed Assets) and assignment to relevant account & cost center.
  • Control RPM Fixed Assets and related accounting topics (creation of RPM Fixed Asset card in Heilite, definition of a lifetime, recommendation of a starting date).
  • Planning & control of the RPM Fixed Assets valuation & depreciations.
  • Control the process of RPM injection/exchange/return to/from agents, ensuring proper case analysis, approval and formalizing (contract signature, deposit payment reception & recording in Heilite).
  • Control the set-up (increase/decrease) of ‘deposit limits’ for customers in Heilite: case analysis, approval and system processing. Perform regular review other these ‘limits’ accuracy in relation with the level of activity of a customer.  
  • Participate to the elaboration of the Annual Plan regarding RPM needs and depreciations estimates.
  • Ensure the correctness of the cost base data:
  • Control of the Purchase Quotes, Purchase Orders and Invoices for all Supply Chain expenses and ensure allocation to relevant account & cost center.
  • Control and review the weekly/monthly/yearly stock count processes for breweries & depots, in collaboration with the ‘Warehouse & Transport Manager’.
  • Control and review the monthly reporting of ‘obsolete items’ by brewery in collaboration with the Supply Chain stake holders. 
  • In addition to the previous, the SCSBA participates to all necessary ad-hoc analysis requests/activities within the Business Control Team.

Job Requirements

Education

  • BA Degree in Finance or Accounting field of study

Experience

  • Experience: 5 – 8-years’ experience
  • Experiences required in management accounting/controlling/external audit
