Job Purpose:
- To handle and process procurements for Tigray projects as requested and approved by the relevant budget holders in line with Concern worldwide logistics- warehouse and Finance procedures.
Main duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out procurements for Tigray projects in accordance with Concern Procurement, warehouse and finance policies and procedures.
- To undertake the necessary accounting, documentation and reporting procedures required, following the purchase of items based on procurement procedures.
- Act as a focal person for the region’s procurement inquiries, and provide timely update on the purchase status to the concerned staff e.g. project managers’ at the region
- Ensure that project’s goods/supplies are procured in line with the requested specification
- Ensure the required paper works are completed before initiating payment the suppliers
- Coordinate with the rest procurement team and ensure project’s goods/supplies are procured timely
- Properly account for all working advance cash and cheque that is in your hand for purchase related purpose.
- Maintain scanned copy purchase archives for all procurements
- Coordinate with the warehouse and transport team to dispatch procured supplies to the region timely
- Support others procurement officers when needed
- Any tasks assigned by line manager

Job Requirements
Person specification:
- Qualification: Level 2 qualification BA Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
- Experience: At least 3 years work experience in purchasing related activities
- Skill: Knowledge of basic computer applications like EXCEL
Competencies:
- Coordination: Coordinate multiple purchase requests so as to procure with the minimum purchase cost
- Planning: Plan and process in coming purchase requests in line with the procurement plan
- Team work: work with other non-logs and logs team in team manner and contribute to the team so as to achieve the goal
- Integrate: Honest, encourages openness and transparency; demonstrates highest levels of integrity
- Communication: Actively communicate with the team and update the purchase status regularly
