PSI/Ethiopia wants reimagine healthcare, put the consumer at the center, and whenever possible, bring quality care to the front door. We achieve health impact in Ethiopia by working with both government and private partners and harvesting technology innovation to bring quality care closer to communities, schools, and homes.  We empower consumers by including them in the design of healthcare solutions, offering them more healthcare choices, and helping them to have a voice in influencing national priorities. We work with all market actors in the health system to understand their needs, designing and delivering solutions so that market systems can sustainably serve consumers for the long term, helping to support the Government of Ethiopia in achieving Universal Health Coverage.

We are looking for a Youth Engagement & Design Advisor to support the Roadmap for Integrating Smart Start in Ethiopia (RISE), an innovative adolescent sexual and reproductive health program going to scale in partnership with the Ministry of Health. This role will also support youth engagement across the other projects in the Adolescent Youth Reproductive Health portfolio at PSI.

Under the supervision of the Technical Advisor, RISE the advisor will be responsible for implementation of the youth engagement strategy, which aims to ensure youth voices are meaningfully incorporated into all of PSI’s adolescent work. The advisor will work hand-in-hand with our dozens of Youth Innovation Champions (YICs) who bring youth voices to the work and serve as designers, translators, advocates and more through the portfolio. This role will support the development of a clearly defined measurement framework for the strategy and track progress. Above all, the advisor will make sure that young people are at the center of the overall program and work with Ministry of Health officials to strengthen their own youth engagement as a way to delivery quality services.

The Youth Engagement & Design Advisor will be a member of the Design and Adaptation team, which used Human Centered Design (HCD) processes to improve programming for young people.
