Purpose

Under close supervision , performs all tillage and cultivation operations and leaf & material transport as instructed ;ensures the proper handling, safety and maintenance of assigned tractors and implements.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

•  Performs all tillage and cultivation operations on tobacco fields as per instructions , prepares canals and other irrigation ditches; transports wet tobacco leaves, tobacco seedlings, tobacco bales and other materials as instructed.
• Checks for oil , battery and water level and takes all safety precaution procedures before starting the tractor. Ensures safety chains are available & properly connected together with connector of trailers.
• Ensures proper and safe operation, always Clean & proper handling of the tractor and implements; reports for maintenance whenever any defect is detected or suspected.
• Assist mechanics while tractors and implements are under maintenance ; instructs assistants and supervise their activities.
• Ensure the proper, effective and economic use and handling of all assigned properties.
• performs related tasks as required.

Job Requirements

Education:

• 8th grade complete and special driving license

Work experience:

• 2 years of work experience in tractor operation
