Purpose

ZOA is looking for a Cash & Information Management Coordinator who will contribute to improving the quality of ZOA Ethiopia’s Cash & Voucher Assistance projects, particularly on information management, and take a lead in coordinating and facilitating a cash innovation project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (with short-term field visits). The responsibilities of the Cash & Information Management Coordinator includes:

  • Provide technical support to project teams to advise and implement cash information management in cash and voucher assistance projects for all programs in Ethiopia
  • Contribute to the success of the innovation and digital cash platform on country and global level

The position will report to the Manager of Program Quality with technical support requirement to all Area Program team, the incumbent will work closely with the global CVA Expert and other consortium partners Dutch Red Cross, Dorcas and other local partners. 

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Contribute to the realization of an innovative cash project in which ZOA works together with several humanitarian organizations
  • Provide technical support on CVA, in particular related to information management, to project teams in the field
  • Provide technical support to the quality implementation of an innovative cash project in Addis Ababa using the digital 121 platform
  • Manage the data processes of this project: design, implementation, analysis and reporting of ‘cash’ data (e.g. registration, PDM, accountability)
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an organizational roadmap/SOPs to address obstacles to scaling CVA in Ethiopia
  • Contribute to the development and use of the Cash Project Design Wizard on how to develop a quality CVA project
  • Facilitate Cash Information Management training(s) for the project team(s) and partners
  • Contribute to the use of innovative cash tools (121 tools) in cash projects
  • Co-write a case study regarding organizational obstacles to scaling CVA
  • Coordinate with other project teams (national) and consortium partners (global)
  • Ensure the delivery of timely and accurate reports to the program manager and global CVA expert
  • Contribute to developing innovation funding proposals

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • Has a Bachelor (BA) or MA Degree from a recognized university in Business Management, Accounting & Finance, Economics and related fields
  • At least 5 years proven work experience in humanitarian organization(s) in CVA programming preferably with refugee related programs, or project management in relief and recovery programs. Experience in coordinating a consortium or Multi-agency programs is an added value.
  • Extensive work experience in information management, digital payment system, data management and system administration, data analysis & MEAL.
  • Field experience in CVA programming, preferably working with digital tools and platforms.
  • Experience working with an international (remote) team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Advanced certification in Cash and Vouchers Programming is a plus
