Purpose of the job

Ensure the quality and quantity of products conform the company’s standards through operating packaging machines in a safe way and according to plan. The job holder is expected to carry out cleaning activities, implement quality control procedures and manage changeovers of packaging machines.

Key Responsibilities

Plant and process operations:

• Operating packaging machines by anticipating standard and non-standard situations in a safe way
• Take quality control measurements, record results and act upon deviations by escalating and adjusting the process
• Report on safety, quality and production progress in reporting systems and DCS
• Execute changeover of machines by following changeover procedures as per production plan
• Carry our cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening conform the standards
• Solve minor technical problems and assist during breakdowns
• Organize the workplace according to 5S standards

 Other Responsibilities

• Participate in Climate Surveys
• Participate in meetings organized by the company
• Work on personal developments on functional and behavioral competencies
• When necessary, execute tasks deemed important for the business as requested by immediate supervisor

 Environment

• Manage resource in a sustainable way; identify possibilities in order to reduce water and energy consumption
• Support the Energy Saving Program

Job Requirements

Education

• Technical School or Bachelor (graduate possible)
• Computer: Basic skills (Windows, Word and Excel)

Experience

• 3 years in operations

Languages

• English B2
• Amharic(Other local languages welcome)
