The position of Life sciences Products Customer Support Specialist is marking in strengthening Partnering with world leading manufacturers we represent for the territory of Ethiopia, and together with our team of highly trained and experienced sales & marketing, project management and technical service personnel, aim to deliver effective and innovative solutions to our customers, in support of their goals and visions.

Job Description

position summary

• This candidate is responsible for driving revenue and market growth of Life science products and solutions in Ethiopia.

Duties and responsibilities

• Business development and strategic positioning for products and services assigned
• To liaise with suppliers and customers in a satisfactory manner with regards to enquiries and opportunities
• Provide pre-sales and after sales technical and application advice and support to customers
• Maintaining good relationships with existing and new clients
• Provision of sales support to our field service engineers and application specialists
• Up selling related products to assist in providing our customers total solutions
• Demonstrated practical experience in a relevant research or commercial laboratory 
• Practical experience in a sales role understanding sales lifecycle
• Ability to provide applications support around general in-vitro diagnostic
• Assist in formulating and implementing of sales and marketing strategies
• Assist in preparation of sales reports

He/ she need to have:

•  Passion to proactively provide a high standard of customer service
•  MSc or PhD science graduate preferably in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Bio-Informatics, Life Sciences , molecular biology or related disciplines who is interested in developing a career within the commercial scientific field.
• They will be self-motivated take pride in job satisfaction have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Preferably with 1-2 years of relevant sales experience in pharmaceutical and related industries
• Laboratory experience is preferred and minimum 3 years’ experience working in genomics, molecular biology essential, with PCR technology experience highly desirable 
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Proficiency in English is preferable
• Target driven and able to work independently
• Proactive and resourceful 
• Good reporting skill
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
