Key Roles and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager and working closely with implementing partners technical team at field and head offices, the Senior Forestry and Landscape Specialist will be responsible to perform the following key duties and responsibilities:
- Leads the overall coordination of Integrated Sustainable Land Management ( ISLM) including participatory sustainable forest and biodiversity conservation
- Ensures the project is implemented through landscape approaches integrating the interests of all stakeholders and considering the physical landscape, people in it and institutions, laws, policies and customs that shape how people use the natural resource in the landscape
- Ensures knowledge products and integrated landscape change tracking systems in Bale and Guji-Borena eco-regions are developed and functioned
Job Requirement
Required Qualifications and Experiences
- MSc or BSc Degree in Integrated Landscape Management, Watershed Management, Forestry or Ecology with at least 5 years relevant work experiences respectively;
- The incumbent needs to have skill of GIS and remote sensing for resource planning and monitoring is required
Duty Station: Addis Ababa (Head Office) with frequent travel to project areas
