We are pleased to announce the vacancy for a Manager - ERP Management and Support  within the Technology Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to EHOD- Infrastructure and Operations, the position holder’s role will be to manage, maintain and provide strategic and technical direction for the Enterprise Resource Planning Operations department comprising of ERP financial management systems ensuring that the strategic initiatives are developed, implemented and operate as expected.

Job Responsibilities

Support

• E2E accountability for enterprise systems support including and not limited to MTTR, SLA, individual and global incidents
• E2E accountability for building automated monitoring for all domain systems (ERP & related systems)
• E2E accountability for building proactive controls based on machine learning and similar techniques
• Service availability and monitoring: - Define and monitor data and service availability for all ERP. This includes ensuring that the set KPIs are met.
• Incidents and problem management: - Provide expert management of Incidents, root cause analysis, management of problems and closure of recurring incidents related to the responsible domains. This should be within the defined ITIL, ISO and other acceptable guidelines

Planning

• Ensure all systems are well supported by relevant vendors  
• Responsible for implementing proactive monitoring using automated techniques.

Budgets

• Responsible for CAPEX and OPEX budget planning for Enterprise solutions – ERP.
• Vendor Engagement on support for Enterprise Systems and managing the OPEX budget for the same.

People Management

• Regular team and one-on-one engagements
• Build the skillset according to the fit for future program
• Team performance management
• Build the skillset according to the fit for future program, and report on progress of each engineer
• Manage weekly team meetings
• Motivates each team member to improve performance

Job Requirements

• University Degree in computer science or engineering 
• 5+ years in software development/Support or telecom domain with 2+ years in team leadership position.
• 4 years’ experience with complex PL/SQL packages and oracle database.
• Unix user skills.
• Minimum of 5 – 8 years IT and ERP experience (essential)
• Knowledge of ERP Systems and processes
• Knowledge of ETL
• Minimum of 5 – 8 years relevant management experience (essential) 
• Track record of managing and developing people (essential)
• Project Management Experience (desirable)
• Experience in the IT/Telecommunications industry (desirable) 
• Sound business acumen and understanding of Information systems
