Ethiopian Academy of Sciences is an autonomous, non-profit, and non-governmental organization established on March 2010 by a group of prominent scholars who wish to promote science and bring about development, prosperity and improved health services for the people of Ethiopia. The Academy aims to advance the development of all the sciences, including the natural sciences, mathematics, the health sciences, agricultural sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities, fine arts and letters.

The Academy is committed to play its role in the achievement of the national development agenda, and to advance the natural, and cultural heritage of the nation. As an important partner to the government, it involves relevant government institutions, ministries, universities and other organizations in its effort to achieve its goals.

Ethiopian Academy of Sciences would like to invite certified Audit Firms to perform Audit Service for the Audit period of July 7, 2022 –July 8 2023 and for the following FY (for two consecutive years).

Technical proposal (70%)

• Company profile including professional staffing list, CVs and their role
• Methodology, and approaches (Audit Planning and Execution process)
• Deliverable and reporting milestone.
• Timeframe and schedules
• Testimonial of similar work done for other similar organization

Financial Proposal (30%)

Total audit cost including applicable government taxes and Mode of payment Audit firms on their financial proposal shall clearly state, audit service price including VAT/ToT and other expenses separately.

Job Requirements

• Must have renewed business license and professional audit service license
• Authorized under the List of Registered Certified Audit Firm - Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia
• Must have Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Organization profile including evidence of experience in Auditing of similar organizations
• Registered Certified Chartered Accountants/Certificate of professional competency
• Details of staff assigned to perform the audit activities including experience, qualification, and the number of staff with position classification
• A schedule or detailed audit plan that includes the expected audit start date and completion date
• At least 5 years of experience of auditing non-profit and non-governmental organization in Ethiopia and must provide evidence of performances for similar tasks

Bid Submission

 Eligible and interested applicants who fulfill the above criteria can collect the ToR in person from Ethiopian Academy of Sciences office (see address below).

• The bidders shall submit the proposal clearly marked technical and financial proposal in separate envelopes in person with WAX SEALED ENVELOP with “original” and “copy” of the quote to Ethiopia Academy of Science’s Office until September 24^th, 2021, before 4:00 P.M. late quotes shall not be considered.

NB: The financial proposal should describe the major cost items and the total amount of budget required in ETB. EAS reserves the right to cancel this bid.
