Job Description

Meklit Microfinance Institution S.C is a transformed Commercial Microfinance institution S.C established according to proclamation no. 40/96 issued by National Bank Of Ethiopia to provide financial and nona financial services to Medium, Small Enterprise and the low income people, particularly women, at both urban and rural areas of Ethiopia.

Meklit MFI is currently looking for candidates at the capacity of Branch Supervision, Monitoring and Support Officer level. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements

The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:

Education

  • BA Degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting or equivalent Combination of education and work 5 years of relevant experience

Experience

  • Proven Operation Officer experience in the MFI industry
  • Good conceptual understanding of participatory approach and sustainable development
  • Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices
  • Ability to meet sales targets and production goals
  • Familiarity with MFI industry’s rules and regulations Competencies
  • Knowledge of micro finance business
  • Demonstrated technical ability, sound judgment, ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels
  • Basic computer application skills
  • Good communication skill
  • Firm belief in teamwork and gender equality
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
