We are pleased to announce the vacancy for Site Supervisor in Network Deployment   within Technology function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting EHOD -Network Deployment, the role holder will be tasked to manage various processes of sites for site acquisition, installation and/or expansion of Safaricom Base Transceiver/Repeater Stations and Mobile Switching Centers/Data Centers within specified timelines and budget.

Job responsibilities

• Manage performance of vendors and other consultants to ensure efficiency in the site acquisition process, construction process as well as acceptance process.
• Secure access to existing sites identified by Radio Network Planners for purposes of test measurements and upgrade/optimization and resolving acquisition issues arising from existing sites.
• Supervise the site construction and implementation from all CME (Civil, mechanical, electrical) point of view till sites is final acceptance done.
• Check on the work done by the vendors as per the quality standards and Health and Safety Guidelines and instructions
• To ensure the quality and (H&S) Health & Safety procedures are effectively implemented on the field.
• Climb towers for quality check of radio units, antennas, fiber and all other components.
• Checking the erection, cabling and installation which is going to be built.
• Checking the reinforcement of the foundation and accompany the concrete works.
• Site visit for acceptance with vendors.
• Submit daily H&S Checklist for himself and filed teams.
• Ensuring the vendor is submitting the HS and Safety doc for their team.
• Submit the Quality Spot check report on regular basis for assigned sites.

Job Requirements

• An honors degree in Engineering.
• A certificate in project management would be added advantage.
