Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major programme areas; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Developmentand and Lobby & advocacy . DEC works in three National Regional States of Amhara, Afar and Oromia and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit on the following position: 

Project officer ( 1 for Jimma and 1 for Bahir Dar)

Roles and responsibilities

• plan, organize and implement events including workshops, awareness-raising campaigns, and experience sharing opportunities;            
• Develops concept notes and/or fundable project proposals;
• Identifies funding sources, potential project/program partners and other stakeholders;
• Facilitating technical training and workshops related to project;
• Good skills of project management and implementation
• Ability to work with communities and government stakeholders and other partners .
• Good knowledge of inclusion and ability to institutionalize and mainstream inclusion and gender equality .
• Excellent Skills on team work and partnership management
• Have excellent communication , reporting and technology application skill.
• Ensure DEC safeguarding policies are implemented at all levels in its project site;

Job Requirements

Education &work experience

• At least Master's Degree in Social Work, Sociology and other related fields
• At least 3 years direct CSO/Local NGO work experience.

Additional Skill

• Excellent Communication skill in team work and partnership management
• Experience in Working with youth and adolescence
• Good skill designing strategy to reach youths and girls in the society
