Job Description
Purpose:
Responsible to organize, support and plan all activities related to direct purchasing of raw materials, spare parts technical services related to factory production.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Follow up of purchase requests conversion to purchase orders and follow intercompany procurement procedures.
- Communicate with approved suppliers to get inland cost and other related costs, calculate Transfer Price (TP) and communicate with intercompany process’ stakeholders ordering to maintain the TP price.
- Share demand forecast with suppliers.
- Analyze lot size, negotiate materials readiness time, advice mode of transport considering the different lead times and related logistics costs & receive PFI
- Maintain mandatory data into Ethiopian Single Window (ESW)
- Follow up of FX approval processes on the ESW, prepare priority list for FX approval and generate periodical status report.
- Prepare shipping instructions, follow on timely cargo dispatch, check correctness of the shipping documents before final release; follow up timely documents arrival at local banks and generate status reports.
Job Requirements
Education:
- BA degree in Purchase and Supply Management, Management, Accounting and others related fields.
Work experience:
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in foreign purchase or in production planning
Knowledge:
- Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
- MS Office - confident user; Excel – advanced
