Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

The spa Supervisor is responsible for assisting the wellness manager in the day-to-day operation of the Spa, assuring the highest standards of service related to guests. Check regularly standards of service relating to guest satisfaction are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a positive attitude through open communication, understanding, and respect
  • Anticipate, identify and ensure customer needs are being met in the best possible way
  • Develop and deliver credible, competitive, value-plus service to the customer.
  • Guide staff to become caring problem solvers, cooperative, accommodating, and fair.
  • Exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy, and an ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Assumes the responsibilities of the Wellness manager in his/her absence.
  • Ensures all employees have the proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Manages supplies and equipment inventories within budget.
  • Maintains cleanliness of wellness and related areas and equipment.
  • Understands the impact of the department's operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and managing to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Sets a positive example for guest relations.
  • Cooperates with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Handles guest problems and complaints.
  • Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Minimize or eliminate losses through negligence with monitoring programs.
  • Implement an established opening and closing procedure
  • Emphasizes guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Strives to improve service performance.
  • Solicits employee feedback, utilizing an "open door" policy, and reviewing employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
  • Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters.
  • Brings issues to the attention of the wellness manager as necessary.
  • Observes service behaviors of employees and providing feedback to individuals.
  • Participates in employee progressive discipline procedures.
  • Participates in an ongoing employee recognition program.
  • Reviews comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
  • Supports a Wellness orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
  • Supervises on-going training initiatives and conducting training when appropriate.
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensuring employees do the same within the team.
  • Wellness manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the wellness as necessary.
  • Ensure high motivation, provision of high-quality service, and ongoing development
  • Manage customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service and programmed improvement
  • Ensure customers and guests receive friendly and consistent personalized service from all team members
  • Submit all records and reports in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements

  • Extensive wide technical knowledge regarding functions and working procedures of massage and Morocco bath, Facial, Makeup, Nail Art, and hairstyling
  • Language skills
  • Management or Supervision skill
  • Bachelor's Degree or Certification in hospitality management and related fields
