Main purpose of the job

To supervise staff, monitor crops and animals, and handle various administrative tasks and prepare plans and budgets…to ensure company goals and objectives

Main responsibilities

• Responsible for the coordination and managing of the work performances of all farm activities
• Prepare annual plans of the agricultural crop production activities, budgets the production systems and farming mechanisms based on the strategic development plan of the company
• Coordinates and directs specific farm activities such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, and record-keeping…and generate performance reports
• Inspects farms and plantations to determine crop performances, pest status, maturity dates and estimate potential crop damage from weather and other factors
• Coordinates and directs the work performance of farming, machinery, and equipment maintenance sections, store, and other related departments
•  Analyzes market conditions to determine the cropping pattern (allocate the area for specific crop) during the planning
• Organizes information, such as production, farm management practices, and prepares financial and operational reports
• Determines procedural changes in drying, grading, storage, and transporting, of crops with greater efficiency and accuracy
• Follow up the work performance of farm machinery, equipment, and implements to ensure the proper functioning
• Follow up the purchase and timely supply of farm machinery, equipment, tractors spare parts, and inputs such as the purchase of fertilizers, other chemicals, and seeds/planting materials…
• Manages and evaluates the financial movement of the farm and follow up of production costs, financial statements, and makes corrections as required to secure farm budget proposals
• Prepare periodical reports and maintains farming history records

Job Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and experience required

• BSc and above in plant science, crop production, or related agricultural fields
• At least 10 years of work experience in the management of commercial farming
• Excellent agronomy knowledge of lowland crops, equatorial fruits, and coffee plantations
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent writing, compiling and presenting skills
• Basic IT literacy
• Excellent Managerial and coordination skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
