About Self Help Africa and the Project:
Self Help Africa (SHA) is an international non-profit development organization dedicated to the vision of an economically thriving and resilient rural Africa. SHA-Ethiopia is now seeking to recruit a Value Chain Development and Market Coordinator who will provide guidance and other technical support on Oda Bultum Integrated Community Development Program (ICDP) financed by A Glimmer of Hope (GoH).
Organization: Self Help Africa – Ethiopia
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (with frequent field visits to project areas)

Reports to: Head of Programs (HoP)
Contract type: Two years but renewable upon business needs
Job Purpose:
The Value Chain Development and Market Coordinator/advisor will provide overall technical direction for the livelihood deepening activities that are part of the Oda Bultum ICDP’s scope of work, ensuring the implementation of a market facilitation approach as well as linking the various stakeholders and partners to ensure smooth implementation of the Oda Bultum ICDP project. This role will be the key liaison between SHA and the implementing partners and will also ensure regular communication and cooperation between the project team based in Oda Bultum, and the Country Management Team and the donor in Addis.
The Value Chain Development and Market Coordinator/advisor will be responsible for oversight of the value chain upgrading process in the project area, will provide a technical backstop, and will coordinate and monitor project interventions and their results.
