As a production manager you are responsible for the daily running of your section in the farm. You will lead the supervisors and general workers. You will make sure that the daily targets are done correctly in quantity and quality. You will work as a team player with the other production managers and will report to the farm manager directly. 

Your job includes: 

• Short and medium planning of the flower production.
• Preparing land for planting.
• Planting.
• Maintenance of the crop, in close cooperation with the other production managers.
• Crop protection, in close cooperation with the crop protection supervisor
• Irrigation, in close cooperation with the irrigation department
• Harvest, in close cooperation with grading supervisor

As a production manager you are responsible for the daily labour distribution in your section. You will work via an organized and long-term schedule to guarantee the best quality of the crop. You are flexible and know how to handle in different situations.

As part of the job, work at irregular working hours (e.g., at evenings/weekends) can be expected. Hence, the production manager is required to work overtime. Overtime is expected to be included in the salary.

Job Requirements

• Required degree is a masters in horticulture or equivalent, fluently in English and Amharic.
