ROLE PURPOSE:

In Gambella, SCI is providing child protection services, among other programs and services (primarily Child Protection). Child protection programming in particular is focused on child protection case management services to vulnerable children and children at risk of harm. SCI child protection case managers use ‘CPIMS+’, which is a module of the software ‘Primero’, to document all child protection cases. CPIMS+/Primero acts as a case management tool, as well as a data collection tool. The role of Information Management Data Clerk (IMDC) - Primero is to promote quality and effective outcomes through technically supporting the use of the system. The Data Clerk supports end-users (caseworkers from the camp by providing training and capacity building on the correct use of the system, supports caseworkers to input correct and accurate data and supports the Information Manager/Primero System Administrator in collecting, cleaning, analyzing and reporting on data extracted from the system.

The purpose of the Data Entry Clerk position is to ensure quality data and information is entered, maintained, analyzed and disseminated for effective reporting and documentation of program activities as per the Child protection requirements. She/he will be technically assisted by the System administrator

Key accountabilities

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Enter all data accurately and in a timely manner per instructions of the Primero administrator
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date data.
  • Provide end-user training to support electronic records management; Work closely with end-user (CPOs & caseworkers) to collect, and clean data, to Approve BIA, Case Plan, Case Closure in a timely manner.
  • Possessor develop an excellent understanding of Primero/CPIMS+
  • Ensure high quality and accurate data is recorded in the system by checking for errors and gaps in data
  • Participate in the review and analysis of monthly or other reports when requested, to identify the causes of potential bottlenecks in project implementation or data recording to enhance the quality of reporting
  • Ensure that the confidentiality and protection of client data is respected and prioritized at all times and that any breaches in confidentiality or data protection are reported immediately
  • Perform field visits to ensure the quality of data collected by programs and to verify the accuracy of reported data
  • Troubleshoot any issues regarding data collection and data entry
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by the system administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree or Diploma in computer science with 2 years work experience in a data entry or related position, preferably with increasing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Windows, Word, Excel, and Access
  • Efficient skill for posting data into computer
