We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Property Manager within HR Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Property and Facilities Lead, the role holder will be responsible for negotiation of leases and lease/and rental renewals of all expired leases or leases approaching expiry, facilitation of access to all Safaricom offices, retail, residential and sites across the country and acquisition of additional space and utilities management for power, water use.

Job Responsibilities

Property and Estates management

• Facilitation of access for space optimization, maintenance and/or upgrading works and negotiation of favorable access protocols
• Control lease renewal costs and terms
• Lead role in property acquisitions.
• End to end lease management.
• Estates management for retail shops and secondees housing.
• Steward the property tripartite (Safaricom, Landlord, Facilities) maintenance committee
• maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use

Space (office and technical) management

• Oversee the effective utilization of space within facilities, MSRs and Data Centers.
• Forecasting space requirements and input in budget cycles
• Ensure that space design is cost effective and supports employees’ performance
• Design, dimension & actualize agreed standards for space planning as per business requirements for all facilities.
• Implement best standards in office kitting/fit-out to ensure quality and standardization
• Utilities end to end management for offices and all retail shops

Third parties and People Management

• Provide oversight (assign duties and review performance) to projects’ consultants and contractors

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Land & Building Economics, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or real estate management.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in project, construction, and property management
