We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Employee Relations Lead within HR Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below. 

Detailed Description 

Reporting to the EHOD - HR shared Services, the role holder specifically manages Employee Relations policies ensuring consistent application of the same including dispute resolution procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with all internal stakeholders to develop & update all policies in line with best practice & legal requirements and ensure full compliance and mitigation of risks
  • Ensure minimal adverse impact of policies and practices on protected employee groups
  • Facilitate the building of managerial capacity on employee relations and proactively coach and equip managers to handle disciplinary issues
  • Manage disciplinary/grievances as per policy, labor & government regulations and communicate recommendations on disciplinary actions to be taken
  • Liaise with the legal section & company employee relations

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Higher National Diploma in HRM from recognized university with postgraduate qualification in Industrial Relations
  • 8-10 years experience in Human Resource Management with at least 5 years experience specifically in labor and employee relations management
  • Specialist knowledge of labor legislation and practice
