Job Description

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review supporting documents and enter financial transactions into the accounting system.
  • Prepare monthly payroll and bank reconciliations.
  • Review and approve spend authorizations and Expenses report
  • Prepare monthly Accounting and Adjustment Journal Entries associated with payroll and office rent amortization
  • Ensures accurate schedules of accounts payable and accounts receivables are maintained and monthly updated;
  • Review various procurement and contracts, including medical procurement and lease agreements
  • Draft financial proposals to donors, organizational budgets, and reports to various stakeholders,
  • Review and ensure that income statement is balanced by source and fund for budget accuracy.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of Annual Operating Budgets (AOB).
  • Prepare month-end reports and reconciliations and upload reports on Ipas’s website,
  • Prepare periodic financial reports to government stakeholders, Regional Health Buraus, Ministry of Health and the Charities Agency.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Senior Finance Manager

Job Requirement

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in accounting, business administration
  • At least 10 years’ professional experience in a comparable position with management responsibility
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience with an international NGO,
  • Very good working knowledge of Information Communication (IC) technologies (related software, ERP-workday, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office, high level of excel knowledge is an added advantage)
  • High level of problem-solving skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to motivate and support staffs and good Team player
  • High level of self-organization and ability to work independently
  • Fluent written and oral knowledge of English
  • Willingness to continuously update know-how and skills in a changing environment
