Role Purpose
To assist and offer support services to the HR Manager in the management and data documentation, control and communication.
Responsibilities
Reporting to, and under the supervision of the Human Resource Manager the candidate will carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
- Data documentation, she/he will ensure all operational files, seasonal and General worker employee files are properly updated and filed appropriately.
- Seasonal Workers management, S/he will ensure that all temporary and seasonal contracts are up to date and the same is reflected in the seasonal employee management system. Will check, follow up and control seasonal employees’ contract and updates the HRM appropriately.
- Labor Management. -Assist the HRM by maintaining an updated records of labour use in the company.
- Staff Induction, Will also be in charge of staff induction for temporary, seasonal and general workers both HR & HSE and exit procedures and ensure that all employees comply and the documents filed.
- Performance Management. Assist in the yearly planning of performance appraisals for the general workers. Shall obtain an appraisal schedule from all the supervisors, consolidate an appraisal schedule and communicate to the HRM. Assist in the data entry of appraisal results in the system.
- HSE: S/he shall sit in the Health and safety workers committee meetings and the gender committee and and chair the meetings in the absence of the HRM or HSE coordinator. Also take minutes in the Shop stewards meeting s/he shall be involved in the monthly HSE farm visits. S/he shall assist the HSE coordinator in ensuring safety and health of the workers by enforcing compliance to the set HSE rules and regulation.
- Reports: The following reports must be submitted to the HRM:
- Weekly reports on the number of seasonal employees every Monday by 5.pm
- Weekly reports on the number of people on leave.
- Weekly reports on the expiry dates of all seasonal, temporary and task job contracts.
- Progress reports on all outstanding legal cases.
- Monthly reports on the number of all legal cases and their status.
- S/he shall assist the HSE Coordinator in preparation of HSE monthly reports to Syngenta.
Training S/he shall assist the HRM in organizing for training venues and communicating to the participants.
- Any other task that may be assigned by the management.

Job Requirements
Knowledge skills & experience:
- BA degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Management or related fields.
- Over 3 year’s progressive experience in HRM or Administration.
- Sound knowledge and working experience of Ethiopian labor law
- Computer literacy a must
- Experience in Personnel Administration software
Critical Skills:
- Well developed and proven communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Organizational and people management skills
- Procedure writing skills.
- Computer literacy in MS office applications with a working knowledge of excel..
- Mature person and team player.
- Person of proven integrity.
Language:
- English, Afan Oromo & Amharic
