Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

  • Auditing safety material regularly
  • Give training
  • Organize training for work accident, health and environmental protection and evaluate its effect
  • Record training, update them timely 
  • Conduct safety meeting and serve as secretary for the safety committee 
  • Make regular visit of working place to correct problems on the spot
  • Put warning signs, posters
  • Maintain safety material
  • Make regular calibration
  • Making safety rules for the company
  • Control working condition of the worker and avoid harm full practice done by workers
  • Reward safe working workers, inform the concerned department head if any worker not following safety rules for warning
  • Prepare overview of safety measures and evaluate their efficiency
  • Special control and follow up harm full situation or working method
  • Make special file of work accidents, expense incurred due to accident in terms of money and time and take proactive measures to avoid the accidents
  • Prepare report to management about every occupational diseases or accidents weekly, with some suggestions
  • Design safety and health policy for the farm and always make improvement for it.
  • Provide OSH Training in the company
  • Inspect and control availability of PPE
  • Any other job as assigned

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A university degree in Health, Safety & Environment or Related
  • Professional qualification in OSH or management.
  • Over 3 year’s progressive experience.
  • Sound knowledge and working experience of Ethiopian labor laws and OSH Rules.
  • Computer literacy a must.

 Critical Skills:

  • Well developed and proven communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Labor , organizational and people management skills
  • Procedure writing skills.
  • Computer literacy in MS office applications with a working knowledge of excel..
  • Mature person and team player.
  • Person of proven integrity.

 Language:

  • English, Afan Oromo & Amharic
