Abeba Giday Business Group (Abeba Giday Trading House, Abeba Transport, Addis Spare Parts, and Bazen Agricultural and Industrial PLC…) are looking for the following vacancies. 

Main purpose of the job

To assist the company with all transport-related duties such as transport products, materials, equipment, and company staff to and from specified locations

Main responsibilities

• Capable of Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations on time
• Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing
• Able to endure long hours driving
• Capable of conducting basic maintenance checks and able to fix minor things on the vehicle like changing of tires, and reporting in frequently to dispatch
• Alarmed to safety and health regulations to protect themselves and other people on the road
• Maintaining vehicle hygiene Checking all relevant equipment and keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning, and vehicle maintenance
• Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings
• Mapping out routes
• Adhering to road signals Respecting other drivers
• Keeping logs and collecting daily schedules
• Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to the HR manager
• Accompany Transport trucks from and to Djibouti when necessary

Job Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and experience required

• High school complete with at least 7 years and above driving experience is preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Sound knowledge of car and road safety regulations
• Working knowledge of local roads and routes
• The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Punctual and reliable
