Habesha Breweries S.C. is looking for a Process Technologist Brewing which is a Grade 12 position per the Company’s job grading. 

The Role Summary:

Process Technologist Brewing is responsible for

• Optimizing brewing process
• Conducting and monitoring trials
• Solving problem on the brewing process
• working with the laboratory team who carry out further tests to improve products
• introducing new or different methods of brewing
• ensuring a consistently high-quality product is produced
• finding new suppliers and reviewing existing ones
• making any necessary production adjustments
• working on new recipes that can improve a given brand
• Working with suppliers
• Overseeing technical changes
• keep up to date with developments in technology in the industry
• Receiving raw materials which are coming to the brewery
• Auditing suppliers
• Compiling raw material receiving report
• Preparing manuals
• Developing local suppliers
• Developing standard for raw materials
• Handling complaints from production and suppliers
• Work with Marketing on developing new suppliers and product
• Conduct research for new product development
• Optimize cost of manufacturing

Job Requirements

The Person:

This role is positioned at the Professional level and requires a professional

• A self-starter and aptitude to work consistently, completely, and effectively with good direction but little supervision.
• A university-level degree in BSc in Food Engineering or related fields, ideally 3 plus years of experience in the brewing industry.
