We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Manager – Stock Planning in Supply Chain Management within Finance function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager- Logistics & Distribution, this role encompasses the overall supply planning for saleable items to optimize inventory investment while achieving excellence in customer service and product availability. Its purpose is to optimize product demand fulfillment through a cross-functional co-ordination of a centralized sales & operations planning process, performance monitoring and operational supply risk management. This role works closely with Sales and Marketing, Technology, and outsourced (3PL) logistics service providers.

Job Responsibilities

Drive sales & operations planning (S&OP) process in the company to maximize sales for saleable items through coordination with commercial and procurement functions to align sales forecasts with inventory supply plans for vouchers, SIM cards, SIMEX, Terminals, CPEs and other saleable items.

  • Drive achievement of company sales targets for
  • Developing and maintaining effective S&OP frameworks
  • Co-ordinating monthly S&OP inputs to align with marketing and sales objectives for the month
  • Producing S&OP monthly plans in a timely manner

Optimize sales fulfillments stocks to ensure no lost sales or out of stock situations occur while ensuring prudent investment in working capital, and adequate level of risk management.

  • Shape stock holding policy based on market feedback
  • Maintain adequate stocks for customer fulfillment
  • Continuously review and adjust delivery schedules to suit sales demand
  • Enforce inventory holding and ageing policies

New Product Integration Into Stock Cycles

  • Manage the introduction of new products (saleable items) and services and promotions and their incorporation into a regular sales and operations planning process, by
  • Analyzing requirements for new products and co-ordinate various inputs (provisioning, package redesign, stock redistribution, etc) and align activities across Technology, CBU and EBU

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical Field or Equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Function especially in Planning, Inventory and Supply Chain Operations
  • Computer literate, proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Additional professional qualification in Supply Chain will also be considered e.g. CSCP, CIPS, CILT
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP will be an added advantage
