Vacancy Announcement (Internal/External)

Major duties & responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical & managerial implementation of the TARGET project in the government & ensure the timely delivery of the project activities with quality
  • Support project coordinator and officers in preparing individual weekly work plan & review their performance on weekly & monthly basis
  • Plan actively for field visits for TARGERT Team in advance of trips
  • Ensure that the project being implemented according to budget, time and quality parameters of the EKHCDC
  • Ensure that he activities are appropriately planned and that delays and constraints and documented and solution identified
  • Develop weekly plans, in coordination with Supply Chain Team, follow up procurement requests for trainings and procurement

 Delivery:

  • Ensure that comminutes are regularly involved in all phases of the programming
  • Prepare timely programmer reports on projects activities in compliance with internal EKHCDC requirements and any relevant external donor requirements
  • Take on responsibility of projects deliverables, including the day to day management of the project site activities
  • Keep tracking the project expenses and follow-up on daily bases in collaboration with project coordinators and officers and finance team
  • Support the direct implementation of the TARGET project activates such as training of teachers, community mobilization, the distribution of materials to the beneficiaries etc.
  • Take the imitative in documenting lessons learnt, best practice and case studies
  • Conduct regular visits to the project sites to provide technical guidelines support and identity issues that need timely action and support at different levels
  • Identify and report challenges to overcome any obstacles that night arise during project implementation and communication and communicate such challenges to the relevant line manager
  • Ensure documentation of all project activities, Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountably and Quality
  • In coordination with MEAL team, ensure implementing M&E system in the project sites and ensure that the agreed tools are used properly
  • Conduct regular field monitoring visits according to the project requirement and plans and report findings
  • Actively monitor TARGET project activities, ensuring quality of EKHCDC programming and reporting
  • Facilitate third party monitoring MCE, REB and WEO team to monitor TARGET field project activities

Coordination:

  • Coordinate with relative regional and local Authorities community leaders and other relevant key stakeholders such as local NGOs and community based organization in the implementation of the Education project in the government structures
  • In collaboration with all relevant education personnel at the schools, district and regional state level, engage with children and parents to effectively monitor the implementation and impact of the TARGET project on students’ issues, including issues of education access and quality based on children’s needs
  • Performs onsite education project presentations that reflect the mission of the EKHCDC to inspire and educate, promote and preserve the history and honor of EKHCDC in the country
  • Corresponds with schools and organizations about event registration and EKHCDC visits

Job Requirements

Education:

  • MA in Educational Planning or Educational Curriculum or other related field of study 

Experience:

  • 5 years experience for BA & 3 Years for MA

 Additional skills required:

  • Strong creative & visionary abilities to add value to current or future educational programs in EKHCDC
  • Must be self-motivated & able to work alone and without supervision much of the time
  • Good project management experience, including time management, coordination & organizational skills
  • Good analytical through process, including problem solving and decision making skills and abilities
  • Solid computer proficiency skills and abilities, related programs, applications and database as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
