ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. In Ethiopia, WFP provides food assistance to 4 million people, through life-saving food security and nutrition assistance, school feeding, as well as resilience-building activities, in partnership with 47 partners, including both NGOs and government partners.
WFP seeks to recruit a Program Policy Officer- Gender who will work on integrating and mainstreaming gender at the strategic, programmatic and operational levels across Ethiopia. The incumbent will provide expert advice to management and support staff with program and implementation that is consistent with WFP’s Gender policy and Humanitarian commitments

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Advanced University Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Gender Studies, Political Science, Law or related field; must have specialization in Gender-related fields
Experience - 5 years and more of professional experience focusing specifically on Gender in humanitarian contexts
Language: Fluency in the English language.
