Dimensions of Role:
The Child protection in Emergency Coordinator (CPiEC) is responsible to lead and coordinate implementation of child protection service to emergency affected Children in humanitarian crises which has been created as result of the conflict created in North Ethiopia (North Wollo and North Gondar) in Amhara Regional State. The applicants, she / he will coordinate the programme at woreda level and make sure that the programme is implemented at target woreda / site level in line with the agreement made among Amhara Region and Zonal signatory offices. The applicants. She/he will be providing guidance and support for social the child protection in emergency officers to smoothly run the implementation of child protection case management and provision of services including identification, documentation, family tracing and re-unification (IDFTR), provision of psychosocial support (PSS) and core prevention and response to GBV She / he will ensure a periodic and timely reporting of response and child protection situation in target woredas of the intervention zones.

The position involves resolving many challenges which typically occur in child protection program management in an emergency context. The post holder will demonstrate the ability to solve problems, while introducing innovations as needed to meet the demands of a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable operating environment while ensuring Plan systems and policies are adhered to.
The post holder will coordinate the PA program portfolio to ensure the highest level of project quality and its link with the overall country program. This will encompass strengthening accountability, planning, management, adherence to policies and procedures, and promoting a culture for delivery of results, both short and long term.

Working contacts inside and outside the organization; include the purpose and level (high, medium, low) of the contact
To maximize overall program impact through the optimized contributions of others, the post holder will be required to initiate, develop and maintain a range of working relationships, including with government counterparts, implementing partners and other development organizations with the region.
Effective working relationships within the program unit are also essential. The job holder will have frequent communication with the government, NGOs, Plan staff and various internal staff networks.
