The purpose of this role is to oversight all supplies branding activities for the country office to ensure UNICEF visibility is strengthened effectively in the country.

How can you make a difference?

SUMMARY OF KEY FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  1. The key results in 1. Program Supplies: The key UNICEF standard program supplies are UNICEF branded before delivery.
  2. Construction and WASH: The UNICEF construction/WASH sites are UNICEF branded when handing over them to counterparts.

Procurement Services: The UNICEF PS cold chain equipment installation sites are UNICEF branded. 

Key accountabilities and duties & tasks

Program Supplies Ensure that all key UNICEF standard program supplies are UNICEF branded before delivery.

  • Duties & Tasks • Liaise with Procurement Unit to be informed of POs related to supplies to be branded, being raised.
  • Identify new supplies which could be branded and propose to the Chief of Supply a way to brand them systematically.
  • Liaise with the Communication team to ensure that the stock of stickers has the right level.
  • Coordinate with Procurement Unit head to ensure that supplies are branded at suppliers’ premise, when feasible.
  • Coordinate with warehousing staff to ensure that branding is effectively taking place.

Construction and WASH Ensure the UNICEF construction/WASH sites are UNICEF branded when handing over them to counterparts. • Liaise with WASH, Communication Sections, and Construction Unit to identify the sites to be branded and the way to brand them.

  • In collaboration with Procurement Unit contract a company to ensure the sites are branded as per the way agreed.
  • Coordinate with WASH Section and Procurement Unit to ensure that the branded requirements are part of the contractual agreement from now forward.

Procurement Services Ensure that the UNICEF PS cold chain and medical equipment installation project sites are UNICEF branded. • Liaise with Procurement Services Unit to identify the sites to be branded and the way to brand them.

  • Coordinate with Procurement Services Unit to ensure that the branded requirements are part of the contractual agreement from now forward.  

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Thorough knowledge of a range of specialized topics, including the relevant supply chain policies, partnership mechanisms, rules, and regulations.
  • A high level of proficiency or skill is required in the interpretation and application of specialized rules and regulations to the particular circumstances of complex individual cases.
  • Experience using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other UNICEF office tools.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the relevant supply chain processes and ability to consistently apply relevant policies, procedures, and good practices in the daily work.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues and gain the assistance and cooperation of others in a team endeavor.
  • Ability to use supply & Logistics related modules within the UNICEF ERP system.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to supply chain, business administration, contract/commercial law, or another relevant technical field.
  • A minimum of six (6 years) of relevant administrative experience in supply chain management or a commercial context is required. Understanding development and humanitarian work is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language is an asset.
