Job Description

The responsibility of the Program Director position is to provide overall leadership and coordination for the implementation of FSCE’s operations with quality, cost effectiveness and application of appropriate methodologies through cascading annual performance plan in line with the vision, mission, goals, program principles, standards, approaches and strategic plan of FSCE. She/he establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Donors, key government partners and NGOs working in the same geographic areas.

Job Requirement

Education: MA or BA in Sociology and Social Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Management or related fields.

Experience:  Minimum of 12 years for BA or minimum of 10 years for MA/MBA of relevant experience of working with NGOs/USAID Projects preferably with child and youth focused organizations.

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

  • Proficiency in standard office software package
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire and empower others
  • Conceptual understanding of participatory approach and sustainable development
  • Proficiency in proposal development, strategic and operational planning, monitoring and evaluation, report writing
  • Good interpersonal communication skill and ability to effectively liaise with Donors, government, community leaders and other stakeholders
  • Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, Disability and other sensitive issues

Duty station: FSCE Head Office based in Addis Ababa
