BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible: for the regular servicing & maintenance of all kitchen and laundry machines and equipment. Responsible: for ensuring efficient and effective operation of all kitchens and laundry machineries & equipment through timely executing of the planned preventive maintenance on all of the machineries & equipment in the laundry & all kitchens. Responsible for: conducting regular daily inspections in all kitchens & laundry to check and ensure safe, smooth & efficient operation of all machineries and equipment.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications. Applicants without the below listed qualifications need not apply as they will not be considered in the competitive pool.  

EDUCATION: Diploma in General Mechanics from a recognized Technical College.  

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in the maintenance of machineries and equipment out of which at least one year intensive work experience in repair & maintenance of kitchen & laundry machineries and equipment is required. Experience in welding works and ability to read engineering manuals & drawings are required. Reasonable experience in working on electrical & electronics is advantageous.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:  

• C grade in E.S.L.C.E in English language and good command of English language skill is required. Read write, comprehend and well spoken in English language.           

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

• Good knowledge of reading mechanical & electrical drawings & circuit diagrams
• Capable of working in a team environment and good physical fitness
• Excellent guest contact & communication skills
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and handle multiple assignments is required
• Excellent knowledge of the products and services provided by the hotel
