Purpose:

Under general direction of manger, plans, coordinates, supervises and execute vehicle parodic & preventive maintenance activities of heavy trucks & light vehicles, motorcycles etc; responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a vehicle maintenance operation; ensures adequate and timely supply of spare parts and maintenance equipment's.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Plans, coordinates, supervises and executes vehicles parodic & preventive maintenance activities of heavy trucks & light vehicles, motorcycles etc.
• prepares preventive and planned maintenance schedules and ensures that all heavy trucks & light vehicles, motorcycles get the appropriate inspection and maintenance strictly as per schedule in order to guarantee sustainable service and longevity; conducts studies to reduce excessive downtime and Ensures Any Maintenance records are recorded, organized & kept with proper filing.
• Actively reviews and analyzes maintenance activity reports for trends in repairs, equipment failures and, parts usage; to determine if corrective action is needed.
• Prepares annual budget for manpower , spare parts and other material requirements for periodic & preventive maintenance and make the necessary follow-up; ensures availability and timely adequate supplies spare parts & equipment
• Ensures the timely and accurate processing of of insurance claims, vehicle licensing& operating permits.
• Ensures gradual improvement of maintenance capability of the existing workshops in terms of manpower and equipment to avoid dependence on outside sources; participates and leads in all medium and major mechanical maintenance work; inspects checks ,tests and verifies all mechanical maintenance work undertaken in house or externally;
• Ensures the proper, effective and economic use and handling off trucks , spare parts, tools, materials and consumables ;ensures that all EHS procedures and regulations are strictly implemented on the Maintenance works, Ensures working area cleanness, hygiene & proper setup & arrangement. 
• Manage various tasks & projects as they arise and upon Manager’s request.

Job Requirements

Education:

• College Diploma in General Mechanics, Auto Mechanics ,Fleet Management 

Work experience:

• 6 years of work experience in Maintenance& Fleet.

Knowledge:

• Fluent in English (oral & written),MS Office confident user
