About GAIN

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation was launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people.

GAIN has been re-registered and accorded legal personality with re-registered and accorded legal personality with registry Number 2896 by Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Agency for Civil Society Organization. GAIN in Ethiopia is working on different project on nutrition. Expanding the work,

GAIN is in the process of starting a new project which focuses on food safety. The project is anticipated to be launched in January 2022. For this reason, GAIN will organize an event which serves as an important milestone to ensure participants/stakeholders understand the program and what is going to be implemented. The professional performer will do a role play showing the aim of the program to the participants of the event. 

The objective of the event is to launch the EatSafe program. The launching event will be held in Hawassa town in January 2022 (exact date to be determined).

Duty and Responsibilities

  • The performer will work under the supervision of EatSafe team. During a half day event, he/she is expected to carry out the following tasks:
  • The performer is expected to have a meeting/briefing with the program team before the event to understand the aim of the program and its objectives.
  • Develop script and present to the program team prior to the event
  • The performer is obligated to attend at least 1 hour before the event started
  • Conduct the pre-test in accordance with the script and the feedback given
  • To professionally present the performance to the guests

Deliverable

  • Script developed based on the guidance from EatSafe team
  • Role play conducted in accordance with the agreed script and the agreed pre- test performance

Job Requirements

For this assignment, GAIN Ethiopia requires Preforming Art Service/Role Player with the following experience and technical capacity:

  • Qualifications as professional performer and/or demonstrated minimum of 2 years’ experience as professional performer/role player for public events
  • Experience with INGOs and/or experience of work on launching events will be an asset.
