Job Purpose:

Responsible for assisting electricians with installing and maintaining electrical and power systems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing new electrical equipment and systems; help electricians by performing duties that require less skill, including using, supplying, or holding materials or tools, and cleaning the work area and equipment.
• Diagnose & learn troubleshooting techniques to solve quality, process & electrical problems. 
• Perform facility and equipment maintenance as required; Assist with all required electrical tasks associated with breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance and changeovers on production equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory control of frequently used electrical items and supplies.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects; Inspects repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned by supervisors or managers
• Work safely and cooperatively with other electricians or electrical engineers to keep machinery and specialty equipment running correctly.
• Organize safe maintenance principles for regulating and scheduling breakdowns. Report any safety, quality, operational or output issues that you cannot correct to your supervisor.
• Develop and maintain inventories of electrical materials
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other regulatory requirements (national and international) are being followed on a daily basis.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

 Education:

•  A minimum of TVET Level III in industrial Electricity/Electricity/Electronics or related field of studies.

 Experience:

• 1 year of experience in electrical activities in Manufacturing company.
