Background:

College of Health Science, Addis Ababa University in collaboration with Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU), Germany got support to promote a long-term project of medical development cooperation as of November 2018. Accordingly, the Else Kroener-Fresenius-Foundation tendered funds intended to improve medical training and/or serve patient care for cancer patients in Ethiopia. Addis Ababa University is seeking a competent and experienced project coordinator to work for the "EKES project" project.

Background and required competencies

• MPH/MSc/MA in the field of public health or related field of
• a study from a recognized higher education institution with 2 years of relevant work experience
• Training and experiences in quantitative and qualitative research methods 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills of English and Amharic
• Strong and very detailed attention when planning and preparing documents
• Attention to details

Expected roles and responsibilities of the Project coordinator

• Facilitate any administration issues related to the screening processes for breast and cervical cancer
• Facilitate communication between the administrative and technical staff of the project
• Organize and participate in the quarterly review meetings of the project
• Planning and coordinating field site works
• Management of quantitative data
• Monitor project progress
• Prepare project reports
• Oversee the overall data collection
• Accountable for the quality of overall activities
• Laisse with the project team at different levels
• Assist the central team upon request
• Additional related responsibilities would be given as needed by the project Pl

Duration of employment: Six months with possibility of extension,

Salary: Negotiable
