Job Description

Daye Bensa Coffee Export PLC, an Ethiopian company specialized in the production, trading, and exportation of different coffee to expand the worldwide market. The company, established in 2006 is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and currently employs 150 persons.

Daye Bensa Coffee Export Plc is one of the major coffee exporting companies in Ethiopia exporting green coffee directly from its own farm and affiliated farmers. The company operates in the production, trading, and exportation of coffee and its main product is green Ethiopian Arabica coffee. According to the company, their SIDAMO coffee is certified as organic and their coffee is of good quality, sustainable and traceable.

The customers so far have been Europe, USA, and ASIA. The company’s Ethiopian washed and natural coffee has been exported via major global traders such as Volcafe, NKG, and Groupimpex. Over 50 % of companies' operations are international.

Purpose of the Job

Daye Bensa Coffee Export Plc looking for a Warehouse assistant manager permanently stationed in our office and warehouse in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia. Daye Bensa Coffee Export Plc is a green coffee sourcing company focusing solely on the sales of high-quality green coffees. We do the groundwork to identify, improve, select, and export the best coffees from Ethiopia. All coffees we buy or forward to a client are selected based on the cup profile. We believe a transparent supply chain is the only way to achieve sustainable quality coffee production.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:-

The person will mainly work out of our warehouse and office in Addis Ababa being responsible for our coffee processing. Follow and structure related to quality control and all our procurement in our warehouse.

  • Main responsibility follows/track our green coffee processing at our warehouse,
  • Handling and overseeing hulling, grading, bagging, and labeling of all coffees
  • Handling in and out of our inventory stock.
  • Handling sample in and out.
  • Handling all other practical documentation tasks related to the warehouse operation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in agronomy and other related fields.
  • At least 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in administration management, computer applications (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail communication, internal outlook, and internet browsing, etc.), social media, and other IT systems

  • Excellent English and Amharic language skills, written and oral
  • A high degree of efficiency, team-working, integrity, and accountability
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize multitasks
  • Excellent project and time management skills, and attention to detail
